She finds herself awakening to a morning she thought would be like any other. She gets a call of panic-soon to be confronted with her worst nightmare. The man she depends on to help raise her children is missing. She feels she has no choice but to try to find out what has happened to her children's father. She knows no one anymore about what has happened than she does. She has to depend on herself to find the truth. Though time is passing, and there is no word from her husband, she thinks only of her children. She knows she has to put aside her fears to give her children some answers. She refuses to let them live their lives with unanswered questions about their father. With every hour that passes with no more information than the hour before, she closes her eyes to ask a Higher Power for the help she needs. Lost and confused, she refuses to be intimidated by the people around her. Someone else has knowledge of what has happened. Throughout the story she tells what she is seeing, but at the time she in not aware of how all the pieces fit together. Thoughts of her children force her to keep returning to the scene until the crime is solved. Family members come to her aid. At the time, it seemed they were only there to support her, but in the end, they made the biggest difference. Pieces of evidence would be found and discarded.
