Number 48, one of the folding plates, lacks one half of the right hand portion, and 49 lacks the bottom half of the plate. Otherwise, there are the inevitable occasional stains, thumbings and creases associated with early cookery books, but generally, apart from the damaged plates, it is a decent copy of this rare book. The binding is half chestnut calf, with raised bands, and contrasting lettering pieces which are gilt ruled. The boards are marbled and the endpapers are new. Size: 8vo<
