Mary Magdalene, Taunton.The Sermons are themselves on subjects of such vast importance that it was thought that the deep interest which they excited when they were preached might beneficially be extended beyond our own Parish. I have to thank the Preachers for having added to the first great kindness of preaching their Sermons the additional favour of allowing and superintending their publication.Of three sermons, which were preached extemporaneously, I have not been able to obtain copies or reports. My best thanks are due to Prebendary Harris and Professor Plumptre for their kindness in supplying the two sermons on Worldliness and Sloth. I added one of my own, on Lukewarmness, to fill up the remaining gap.
